Canal Engineering Ltd established a training centre at their manufacturing site in Nottingham named the CEATA Training Academy.
CEATA is an EAL Ltd accredited welding and fabricating training centre, providing training and apprenticeship courses to people aged 16+ years old.
Fabricated Access Covers Trade Association (FACTA)
Canal Engineering Ltd is a member of FACTA, which benefits our stainless division, ASPEN.
Our membership allows the company to learn of developments and changes to standards and regulations directly affecting manufacturers, like ourselves, and the construction industry.
The FACTA specification is well recognised and used extensively in the construction industry by contractors, builders’ merchants and importantly by the specifiers including architects and consulting engineers.
The National Building Specification (NBS) Plus
Canal Engineering Ltd is not officially a member of the NBS, however a selection of our ASPEN Stainless products are specified via our sister company, John L Lord & Son Ltd, who is a member of NBS Plus.
NBS Plus is a library of up to date product information which is authored as NBS clauses, with guidance, and can be consulted or copied directly into buildings specifications.
The selection of ASPEN stainless steel products on the NBS go hand in hand with the John Lord resin flooring products, which are specified on many projects in a variety of different industries.
