Aspen provided engineering drawings, samples and prototypes to ensure a seamless manufacturing process and delivery of the project from day one.
The centre is a new global hub for data services, delivering state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology services to businesses. The client required specialist wall cladding and bump rails to provide impact resistance from server trolleys and other vehicular traffic within the facility. These types of protection rails are designed to safeguard surrounding walls from the movement of trolleys, equipment and employees.
Aluminium chequer plates were manufactured, butted together and pop riveted to the wall. All sharp edges were removed to provide maximum protection against the high volume of traffic within the facility.
Low level bump rails were manufactured and installed in grade 304 stainless steel; the tubular bump rail featured leg supports and surface mounted base plates. 304 stainless steel is a commonly used form of stainless steel that is utilised to withstand corrosion from oxidising substances within the facility.
The dedicated manager and site team worked closely with the contractor during the installation process to ensure highest standards for protection were achieved. Aspen Stainless worked tirelessly with the team to ensure the site installation met with the necessary building regulation requirements.
